Now this is nothing too spectacular and out of the ordinary from Crooks and Alife, Crooks features what is basically the Thank Me Later album cover and Alife’s in-house design; the majority reason this caught our attention was the footage connected to it. As everyone and their mother’s grandmother are aware of, hip-hop’s golden boy and next up to the throne, Drizzy Drake, debuted his premiere album yesterday. I know right, who knew? And while probably 90% 60 – 75% of us downloaded it prior to its official release due to the majestic power of the internet, there is still no doubt that it was one of the more highly anticipated releases here lately and devout fans would still pick up a hard copy.
So Crooks & Castles, being the avid Drake supporters that they are, not only concocted this tee in honor of the album, but made a trip to their local Best Buy and scooped up the entire stock of Thank Me Later CDs. Now that’s love. the.LIFE Files caught up with Drake last night, which actually turned into this morning, in New York after his exclusive studio listening session where they legally heard all the tracks from his highly anticipated “Thank Me Later”. In this clip, Drizzy Drake talks about how he feels about his album illegally leaking online two weeks before the release date, what musicians he may wake up feeling like and hints at an upcoming movie.

A new song off Drake’s highly anticipated debut album Thank Me Later has just appeared online. The track is entitled “Unforgettable”, Drizzy enlisted the talents of Jeezy on this relationship-centric cut. Production comes courtesy of Noah “40″ Shebib who utilizes a neat vocal sample by late R&B-Queen Aaliyah. It is said that there will be a finished version of the track with producer du jour Boi-1da reworking the drums. Thank Me Later is due June 15th. Drake is on the grind like never before as he looks to cover all basis with this new Sprite commercial. The visual shows Drizzy in a state of flux while recording in the studio, and of course after taking a sip of Sprite, he turns into a machine and begins killing the booth. The concept is off the charts and the marketing campaign for Sprite introducing Drake as their newest member will definitely lead to larger sales, no question about it. Read more…
