Canadian extreme outerwear company Canada Goose has been keeping the masses warm for over 50 years and adding to their collection of coats is none other than rapper/songwriter Drake. His company, October’s Very Own has collaborated with Canada Goose to present his very own version of the Chilliwack Jacket.
The black nylon coat has a satin finish and for an urban twist, Drake and the team at October’s Very Own decided to line the jacket with plush polyester fleece and trimmed the hood with genuine coyote fur. Only 200 of these jackets became available for the general public in exclusive boutiques like Nomad of Toronto, Nom De Guerre, Nepenthes & Colette. If you’re near these shops, you might want to cop this jacket fast. [via]
This is NOT the official music video for Drake‘s haunting song “Light Up.” Famed videographerDerick Gdirected an imaginative clip for the song. He also hired three gorgeous models (Aisha Thalia, Deanna Pena and Miss Paris) to lip sync the lyrics of Drake and Jay-Z as well as Lil Wayne‘s phoned-in verse.
Let’s have a toast for creativity. And let’s have a toast for those lovely ladies. Oooww! [via]
This dude Nardwuar is pretty weird, but his interviews are classic. Anyway, he recently caught up with Hip-Hop’s golden boy Drizzy Drake to talk about all things random. I don’t know what kind of network Nardwuar has, but he never ceases to amaze me with his background mining skills and the ability to get a hold of things that are priceless to the person he’s interviewing. If you’re not up on this guy, please do yourself a favor and peep his interviews on YouTube with Hip-Hop’s elite.
BTW, I had no idea Larry Graham was Aubrey Graham’s uncle!
While everybody thought that Drake has only contributed a bridge to Rick Ross’ ode to Aston Martins, Drake dropped a verse which is supposed to make the final edit of the song. So far the music stemming from Teflon Don album, due July 20th, has been decent. It remains to be seen what else the Miami rapper has in store for us. Listen to Drizzy below.
