British design firm Prindville Design firm has taken on the legendary Italian Lamborghini Aventador, bolstering the already super supercar with some impressive modifications. By introducing a variety of carbon fiber replacement body panels, Prindville was able to reduce the weight of the car by up to 65 percent, even adding a fresh aesthetic touch with a stark black and white contrast. Under the hood, a titanium high performance exhaust system is an astonishing 80 percent lighter than the standard part. Dissecting an excellent car to only make it better most certainly isn’t an easy task, but Prindville was able to handle it with a delicacy that is deeply appreciated.
Prindville Design is also working on tune-up packages for the Ferrari 458 and Range Rover Evoque. Check out more from Prindville Design here. [via]

The 81st Geneva International Motor Show played host to the unveiling of two major new Prancing Horse innovations: the revolutionary Ferrari FF, a four-wheel drive four-seater with a mid-front V12 that is the most powerful and versatile car Ferrari has ever built, and the 458 Italia sporting the HELE (High Emotions Low Emissions) System which cuts CO2 to just 275 g/km.
The Ferrari FF makes its eagerly-waited debut at Geneva after the huge build-up of expectation and interest created by the client premiere at Maranello broadcast online by www.ferrari.com.
The revolutionary Ferrari FF offers a completely new take on the sporting Grand Tourer theme. It is not only the first Ferrari with four-wheel drive, but, more significantly, a model that hails a major break with the past, effortlessly melding extreme sports car performance with the versatility and usability of a genuine GT and boasting an extremely innovative design.
Every single area of the Ferrari FF brims with innovation, not least its engine, the first GDI V12 to be coupled with the seven-speed F1 dual-clutch gearbox. The V12 unleashes a massive 660 CV at 8,000 rpm, and maximum torque of 683 Nm at 6,000 rpm with 500 Nm already available at just 1,000 rpm. This ensures the performance figures of an extreme sports car, with the 0-100 km/h sprint covered in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 335 km/h. Efficiency has been significantly boosted too, with fuel consumption now standing at just 15.4 litres per 100 km, and CO2 emissions at 360 g/km, a 25 per cent reduction compared to the previous V12s, thanks in part to the HELE (High Emotions- Low Emissions) System which incorporates Stop&Start technology. The Jaguar C-X16 is a traditional two-seat, rear-wheel-drive coupe. The styling could be likened to a scaled-down Jaguar XK, and also shows hints of design from the XF and XJ. A long hood slopes into the car’s nose and gaping front grille. Big creases extend along the car’s sides and into its muscular rear shoulders — broad, rounded haunches are a Jaguar coupe signature. The roofline slopes fastback-style toward a tail that narrows slightly. Jaguar describes the car’s profile as exhibiting a “double coke-bottle” curve and says the tail mimics an airplane wing.
Beneath the elegant metal is a hybrid powertrain headlined by a 3.0-liter, all-aluminum V-6 engine that is supercharged and direct-injected. A derivative of Jaguar’s V-8 engines, the V-6 produces 374 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. It is coupled to a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission and has Intelligent Stop/Start to reduce fuel consumption.
The driver and his or her passenger sit in a cabin filled with Vermillion Red leather, carbon fiber, and machined aluminum trim. Much of the interior design was inspired by that of aircraft, so the shift lever looks like a fighter-jet joystick and many switches are machined toggles. There even is an Intelligent Venting System which rapidly cools or heats the car’s interior: a vent, styled after fighter-jet air intakes, rises out of the dashboard to provide a blast of hot or cold air, then recedes back into the dash. Carbon fiber is used for the seat braces, center console, and even some parts of the dashboard. [via] The question is will it go into production…

Today Italian automaker Ferrari announced their 458 Spider, a convertible version of their 458 Italia sports car. The 570 horsepowered stallion comes with a foldable aluminum hardtop roof, which folds into a space in front of the engine in just under 14 seconds. That of course seems long, considering that this beast goes from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. Except for some other minor design changes and upgrades, the car looks pretty much the same as the 458 Italia. A release date has not been announced yet, but that hardtop droptop is…a…BEAST!!! [via]
One SUV that needs no real introduction is Land Rover’s elegantly designed 2012 Range Rover Sport.
