White Mountaineering has a knack for combining a distinct level of sophistication coupled with true performance functionality. Their outerwear pieces shine with each seasonal release, as further illustrated here. The two jackets shown here are both solid winter options both waterproof, windproof and laced with a GORE-TEX performance shell. The vest is composed of of a wind-resistant Pertex Shield that is also quick drying. Each piece is a very viable option for this Winter, but that hooded Boa jacket is looking especially enticing. The Brooklyn Circus continues their releases this week for Autumn 2011 with their new Honors Varsity Vest. Notorious for their collegiate styling, the vest stays in its signature design that features a wool body, leather shoulders, varsity stripped hem and BKc patch embroideries. Brooklyn Circus hits us with another bad creation (ABC, anyone?) this time they go left with a unorthadox goose down Peacoat in collaboration with Creep for the winter of 2011. They use houndstooth fabric with a bright yellow torso and arm sleeves. We’re not huge fans of the bright yellow, but we do dig the design and courage to push the boundaries (Hopefully they release a few more color options). The Creep peacoat is now available HERE.
Fashion designer Ronnie Fieg does his second collaboration with Micah Cohen for Shades of Grey’s Chocolate and Tweed Quilted Baseball Jacket. The body is made of premium cotton with the addition of tweed sleeves for an understated, but unique detail. This is also the first version of this jacket to be stuffed and quilted, which adds warmth but still maintain that perfect tailored fit that Shades is known for.

Oki-ni presents The Usual Suspects, honing in on a couple of key designers that have been in the business of making stylish menswear for quite some time. But the most enjoyable part about this selection of imagery is the theme behind it. The Mugshot aspect, and it almost makes it seem as if it’s a crime for the focused on designers to create the fashionable pieces they do so well. That said, there are in fact some really standout garments showcased. The Neil Barrett Double Zip Bomber draws references from military influence including the double length cuffs on the arms, the military-style pocket on the left arm and the extended section on the inside of the central zip. Then there’s the Skull Scarf from the legendary Alexander McQueen, a nice simple accessory to set off any outfit. Lastly, the Alpaca Cardigan by Marc Jacobs.
