Photographer Jamel Shabazz, the man who brought us the must have book “Back In The Days“ and most recently “Seconds of My Life“, is the subject of this new documentary by Wild Style director Charlie Ahearn who follows Shabazz’s journey from a Brooklyn youth, to NYC street and subway photographer. The documentary has interviews with Fab 5 Freddy, DJ Bobbito Love and KRS One. Premiers at Brooklyn’s BAM Rose Cinemas this Sunday June 26 at 3:30. Narrated and written by Fort Greene resident Nelson George, this documentary celebrates “Brooklyn’s equivalent of the Harlem Renaissance” and follows the rise of a new kind of African-American artist, the Brooklyn Boheme.
