After months of rumors, Bentley revealed yesterday a concept for its first sport utility vehicle ever: the 600-hp Bentley EXP 9 F. When it comes to vehicles for the wealthiest people in the world, restraint is so last century. With ultra-luxury vehicle sales rising on strong demand from China and the Middle East, the SUV would make the most financial sense as an addition. Given that the Continental starts around $190,000 and the Mulsanne around $280,000, it’s easy to imagine a Bentley SUV with a sticker of about $250,000.
Powered by a twin-turbo W-12 capable of 600 hp and 590 ft-lbs. of torque, Bentley says the EXP 9 would rank among the fastest vehicles of its kind. All that motive force gets to the ground through an 8-speed transmission and all-wheel-drive system turning 23-inch chrome wheels that are as bling-y as anything from Tire Rack. Inside lies the usual assortment of hand-stitched leathers, wood veneers and one-percentery touches like a split tailgate that folds down to reveal a custom dining set.
The guys over at Hypebeast caught up with Harley, the sales director for London-based distribution company A Number of Names during the recent Jacket Required London trade show to supply them some information regarding the upcoming lineup from Billionaire Boys Club.
Featuring an extensive range of apparel and accessories, the range begins with outerwear before moving into fitted caps and T-shirts. BBC also seized the opportunity to promote its comprehensive capsule range with American designer Mark McNairy who infused his design sensibilities of classic Americana and military references into some marquee pieces. As always, the collection is in no short supply of colors, textures and patterns as applied on numerous reworked classic jackets, reinterpreted pullovers and shirts.
Chocolate Droppa was just trying to relax when out of nowhere Paul Cain starts throwing bars at him… and just like all the rest, Paul Cain had to learn the hard way not to f*ck with Droppa. Fabolous even had to film this footage on his personal phone.
Jenny from the block continues to entice us with this photoshoot feature for V Magazine‘s Spring 2012 issue. JLo straps on boxing gear that would make Muhammad Ali blush and call her the G.O.A.T. (that’s the greatest of all time for the slow folks). Shot by Mario Testino, the spread is meant to convey her survival instincts in the entertainment industry. Well, let’s get ready to rumble!
The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is the most power-packed Ferrari to ever be released. The Italian Stallion bolsters a whopping 740 horses and goes from 0-200 km/h in 8.5 seconds. It has one of the most impressive engines developed and the Berlinetta has the latest automotive technology. Check out Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa test the Berlinetta at the Fiorano circuit track (FYI, its covered because this was filmed before the official press release of the car.)
The AppTag Laser Blaster ($35) promises to turn your phone (or iPod touch, we suppose) into a laser tag gun/shooter that works via IR and high frequency sound to let app developers create nearly any kind of multiplayer shooting game you can imagine, all without needing to block the headphone port or eat away battery via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Six buttons — including a pressure sensitive trigger and an oversized reload switch — enable plenty of real-world interaction, and compatibility with most Nerf and Buzzbee toy guns serves as icing on the geek-flavored cake.
