The Morning After with Angela Yee (Jay Electronica – The Ghost of Christopher Wallace Debut)

Jay Electronica called up Angela Yee on The Morning After to debut his new song “The Ghost of Christopher Wallace”.  Jay goes on to talk about the process of structuring the song, how he got the beat from an anonymous producer off of Twitter.  Jay also takes calls from the public on the song and the public’s renewed interest in Hip-Hop because of his emergence.

Take a listen…

(Duration of interview is 15 minutes)

We’re HUGE fans of Jay ELEC and look forward to that album…someday.  That track is CRAZY minus Puff talking on it for three plus minutes at the end.

Kanye West’s Cleveland Show Appearance Clip

I love this show on so many levels, but the fact that it is hilarious and at times funnier than Family Guy (and I LOVE Family Guy) keeps me tuned in every Sunday night.  Well, this Sunday’s episode will star Kanye West as the arch-nemesis to Cleveland Jr’s affections toward Chanelle.  Check it out Read more…

Crewest Gallery – Los Angeles (Prison Inc. Exhibit)

Crewest promotes only the most talented underground artists, known and unknown, from the West Coast and beyond. From graffiti to digital art, from paint to sculpture, their art exhibits are focused on what’s current, relevant, and happening now. Their purpose is to promote gifted artists who’s work may be too edgy and non-conventional for other elitist venues. They cater to art that speaks to the heart and soul as well as the mind. They believe in bringing raw and powerful artwork to the people of Los Angeles.

Peep their latest exhibit “Prison Inc.” that showcases the art of prison inmates.  Really, really talented artist…some of it is a bit risqué, but definitely worth checking out.  Read more…

Twice the Admiration – Rosa Acosta and Bria Myles Photoshoots

We pay attention to what eye candy the readers of EF like to see and these two ladies have gotten the most traffic since we’ve been keeping you up on all things “Ecstatically Fresh”.

Now, we don’t like to objectify women…because we respect them, cherish them, value their opinions and view them as viable assets to our lives…but…sometimes you just have to admire the booty beauty that they exude.  Well, Rosa Acosta and Bria Myles exude plenty, so since we you like to admire them, we thought we’d share their latest photoshoots.  Rosa’s is with Black Men’s Magazine and Bria’s is with Atlanta Dymes, so enjoy droolers readers. Gardar Eide Einarsson – Another Modern Moment Completed

Gardar Eide Einarsson‘s concurrent fascinations with criminality and appropriation come together in an installation that appears to mark the jettisoning of his overt approach to political subject matter in favor of a formalist’s engagement with the legacy of modernism. Using the history of abstraction and pop as a ready-made, Einarsson here distills a poetics of disruption, shifting between drippy hard edge abstraction, graphic renderings from mainstream sources, and the occasional deployment of the ben-day dot.  Read more…

Louis Vuitton iPad Cases

This is the most luxurious accessory for 2010′s most covetable gadget. Louis Vuitton’s iPad case, a simple sleeve in the label’s signature Monogram or the monochrome Damier Graphite, is the first unveiled by major designer for Steve Jobs’ all-conquering tablet. It lends the device the feel of a lightweight, ultra-portable attaché case – appropriate given that it is superseding your offline files and folders. It also gives your iPad some much-needed protection, because believe us, as much as you want an iPad, you will accidentally drop it at some point. The only drawback? It won’t be in stores until 2011. Nike Air Force 1 GS – Iron Man Edition/Christian Louboutin “Let Me Tell You” Ankle Boots

The coveted Nike Air Force 1 gets a slight makeover for the Spring. This is not the first time we’ve seen a sneaker get a colorway from an up coming film release, but we do feel that this Iron Man 2 representation is pretty dope. We’re not sure if these will be hitting the retailers, but they are available now on Ebay. Read more…
