Good Morning, Michelle – By Paul-Jean Uybarreta

I don’t know who Michelle is, but I thought she this was a very sexy production, except for the smoking by Paul-Jean Uybarreta.  I always appreciate the art of film and I like the song, too…if anybody knows it, let me know.

Crooks & Castles’ Noriega Sunglasses

What better way to mentally prepare yourself for the upcoming summer months then investing in a solid pair of sunglasses, especially a pair named after a rapper former Panamanian warlord? Checkout the newly released “Noriega” sunglasses from Crooks & Castles.  Made in Italy, these metallic frames are sharply innovative with an embossed arm logo and three metallic studs on the front, with gradient lenses, that come in matte black, golden platinum and dark cherry burgundy colourways.

Ski Beatz – I Got Mine (The Making)

Ski Beatz is working with a slew of artist for the song “I Got Mine”.  I’m really excited with the artist he has on this track…Rass Kass has been a favorite of mine since I was a teen, so it’s good to see him link up with Dame Dash and the things they’re doing at DD172.  It’s also good to see Tabi Bonney, an artist that one of my best friends from DC put me on to a few years ago…this dude is really dope (and he’s a fashion designer)!  Stalley, is also on the track…I’m still getting more up to speed on him, but I like what I’ve heard so far.  Anyway, take a look at the process…

Seems like it’s gonna be dope.

Mos Def – The Tournament [Unreleased Track]

Here’s an unreleased track that was left off of Mos’ latest release, “The Ecstatic” called “The Tournament” not sure why, but the track sample is the same used for Raekwon’s “Black Mozartoff of (in my opinion the best Hip-Hop release of 2009 – sorry Hov) “Only Built For Cuban Links Part II” not sure if that had anything to do with it.  Anyway, being that we’re such big fans of Mos Def here at EF (hey, that rhymed), we had to do it.

Take a listen…

Welder K25 Chrono 4205 Watch – Black on Black

In case you didn’t know, black on black watches are the sh*t and Welder is doing it big with the K25 Chrono 4205. If the square analog watch with black matte steel with the black rubber strap isn’t enough to seal the deal, the triple dial JS55 Miyota movement and included black leather strap certainly are. Black is indeed, beautiful…

Cop you one >>>here<<<.

Wall Street 2 – Money Never Sleeps

...is greed still good?

I was such a fan of the first Wall Street movie, this one seems like it’s going to be really good, too.  Especially with what’s went on in the past couple of years, this movie should be right on point.  Shia is getting some top-tier roles, he seems perfect for this one.

All-Star 2010 Nike Air-Force One Collection/Giuseppe Zanotti Four Zip Ankle Boots

Nike is certainly making the most of this upcoming All-Star Game, as they have been releasing special edition models for their heavyhitters–Kobe and LeBron. Now, a much more traditional shoe, the Air Force 1 is being released with models to commemorate this year’s contest. Two themes stand out in this pack–the red and blue colorways to represent the East and West teams and the black, white, and silver theme runs through each model. One high top model is also in this pack in gray and black. Each model has the 2010 All Star game logo embroidered–on the heel on the low top models and the forefoot on the high top model. Each low top model features a patent leather upper and metallic silver swoosh and heel tab. These models should be available in the United States soon.

It’s like being a kid in a candy store…

…and for the ladies.

Ankle boots are the style of the season and these nude-coloured leather open toe ankle boots by Guiseppe Zanotti are edgy, simple yet super cool.  The shoes have a hidden platform and a 4.5 inch heel, cut-out detailing on the side and four zips on the outside of the ankle and a rubber tread on the bottom of the sole for extra grip.

See ladies, EF looks out for you for All-Star weekend, too.  Y’all thought we weren’t listening…

Pumzi – A Kenyan Sci-Fi Short

Written and directed by Wanuri Kahiu, “Pumzi” is in fact Kenya’s very first science fiction film, and we can hope will not be the last. Wired reports:

“Pumzi imagines a dystopian future 35 years after water wars have torn the world apart. East African survivors of the ecological devastation remain locked away in contained communities, but a young woman in possession of a germinating seed struggles against the governing council to bring the plant to Earth’s ruined surface…”

Now playing at Sundance five times between Friday and Jan. 30, director Kahiu’s future plans include expanding Pumzi to feature length film as well as cultivating her local film community.

I thought this was pretty dope, plus I’m a bit of a Sci-Fi geek, too.

Pharrell Williams’ BKRW Interview on the Tank Chair

Pharrell sits down with BKRW to talk about the creation of the “Tank Chair” while in Paris for the presentation of it.  This is the second time we see Williams get into furniture design, twisting the iconic silhouette of EAMES chairs – this time presenting the Tank Chair.

Made of plexiglas and full grain colt leather, the chair comes in 4 colorways; baby blue, baby pink, black and white overall. These new designs initially debuted at GALERIE EMMANUEL PERROTIN MIAMI during the city’s most recent ART BASEL show and are now being presented – during the fashion week – at the gallerists’ flagship Parisian space. The Tank Chairs will be on sales in AVANT-PREMIERE at colette between the 22d and the 28th of March.

The famous producer explained that these chairs are not only a hobby but that he has really immersed himself in this ongoing collaboration. In fact, he is so dedicated to this project that we may be seeing a third edition very soon.

Check out the video…

…it would’ve been even fresher with arm-rest, but do your thing, P.  I dig the design aspect, though.
